San Salvatore Castle
The castle of San Salvatore is an ancient fortified complex of Susegana, in the province of Treviso. The history of the castle is linked to the Collalto family who settled here from twelfth to the thirteenth centuries. It expands quickly and reaches the end of the Middle ages with its 30 thousand square meters to be one of the largest in the northern Italy.
The beauty of the castle lends itself to being the background of famous paintings by Cima da Conegliano, but soon became the subject of the noteworthy and also destructive interventions since the nineteenth century. In 1918 the castle, after becoming the target of Italian artillery, presents a desolate landscape, but come back to life and returns to shine thanks to the new acquisition by count Rinaldo.
In this uncontaminated setting, every interior or exterior environment is decorated with brushstrokes of light, colours and shadows specially designed with a customized Light Design project. It is the make-up of the environment, able to make every event, gala dinner and wedding reception unique and personal.
