Palazzo Rocca

Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù overlooks the Canal Grande and it is a symbol of majesty and architectural beauty. Built in the late 1300, it remains property of the Contarini family until 1830. Later, it was brought by the Rocca family, that still resides there. Place of stay of illustrious personalities such as the Imperial princes Charles I and Otto of Hasburg, Gabriele d’Annunzio and many others, it hosted in 1985 the Royal Highnesses the Princes of Wales Carlo and Diana, curious of visiting one of the typical dwellings of Venice.


Considered one of the greatest example of Gothic Venetian style, the palace overlooks the Canal Grande and it offers a unique glimpse of Venice. Inside, a large courtyard leads to the Noble Floor through a majestic entrance hall and a vaulted staircase. Thanks to a play of light and shadow, you will be transported in an magical atmosphere that will recall the rich and sumptuous Venice of Doges and Nobility.
