Tonnara di Marzamemi
Marzamemi’s Tonnara was uprighted in the XVI century in Syracuse province; it is one of the most ancient and important “tonnara” of all East Sicily. The place, originally used to shelter the big tonnara’s boats called “scieri”, today is the Loggia, a big main room of about 750mq.
This is the place where many events are celebrated with a characteristic and traditional tone; the ancient tuff arches like the big wood beams are painted by an accurate Light Design project. So, a new aesthetic arises, redefining a new harmony and spatiality with the contrast of warm colours
